The 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season will be run on a full- schedule format, DAILY POST reports.
There were reports the NPFL was planning to adopt an abridged format for the new season due to financial challenges faced by some of the clubs.
The club owners have however resolved to go for a full- schedule format.
“I can confidently tell you that the 2024/25 NPFL season will be a full format and not an abridged one,” Rivers United General Manager, Okey Kpalukwu told reporters on day one of the NPFL annual general meeting in Lagos on Tuesday.
The new season has been tentatively fixed to start on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
