EPL ‘I’d take him’- McAvennie urges West Ham to sign Iheanacho

Erstwhile West Ham United striker, Frank McAvennie, has said Kelechi Iheanacho would be a good addition to the Hammers squad.

Iheanacho is still searching for a new club after leaving Leicester City last month.

The Nigeria international spent seven years with the Foxes.

The 27-year-old scored 35 goals in 173 league appearances for Leicester.

McAvennie claimed Iheanacho is a great player and would be a good signing for his former club.

“I like Iheanacho. I think he’s a great player. Oh my god, on a free transfer, I’d take him. It’s a no-brainer for me, though I’m not sure who this new manager will want,” the 64-year-old said in an interview with West Ham zone.
