Okachi bids farewell to Enyimba

Anthony Okachi has announced his departure from Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL club, Enyimba.

Okachi made the announcement on his X account on Friday.

The player joined the People’s Elephant at the start of the 2023-24 season

Okachi is expected to move another club to further his career.

The statement reads: “It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to you today. After much contemplation and soul-searching, I have made the difficult decision to leave Enyimba FC.

“This decision did not come lightly, as I have hoped to spend many years with this outstanding club, but sometimes, our wishes don’t always go as we planned and now I have to move on in search of new challenges and opportunities.

“I want to take this moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. You have been there for me through the highs and lows, supporting me with unwavering loyalty and love. Your chants, cheers, and encouragement have fueled my every step on the field, and I will forever cherish the memories we have created together.

“Enyimba FC has been more than just a club to me; it has been a home, a family. The camaraderie and unity amongst the players and staff is unmatched, and I will carry these valuable lessons with me throughout my career. The dedication and professionalism that I have witnessed at Enyimba FC have played a significant role in shaping me as a player and as an individual. For that, I am eternally grateful.

“As I embark on this new chapter in my football journey, I want to assure you that Enyimba FC will always hold a special place in my heart.”
