T.I. and his wife, Tiny, are facing serious allegations of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman back in 2005. In a complaint filed on January 2 and reported by Rolling Stone, an accuser referred to as Jane Doe claims that she met the reality TV stars at a nightclub, where Tiny allegedly gave her a spiked drink. According to the lawsuit, they then took her to a hotel room where she alleges they sexually assaulted her.
The plaintiff, who was said to be in her early twenties at the time and serving in the U.S. Air Force, states that she was introduced to T.I. and Tiny by an associate named “Caviar.” She claims that she had met Caviar at rapper Coolio’s house the night before the incident. The plaintiff recounts that she was separated from her group and ended up alone with T.I., Tiny, and two other women who were eventually asked to leave the room.
Although the alleged assault occurred nearly 18 years ago, the lawsuit has been filed within the timeframe allowed by California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act. T.I. and Tiny have vehemently denied the accusations in a statement issued to the press, while representatives for the couple have not responded to Variety’s requests for comment.
The lawsuit provides a graphic and detailed account of the abuse that reportedly took place that night. The plaintiff’s attorney alleges that T.I. forced Jane Doe to watch pornography and then demanded that she rub oil on his naked body. The complaint further claims that Tiny got on the plaintiff’s back while she was naked and performed grinding motions. The accuser states that she was drugged and pinned down on the bed by Tiny, while T.I. allegedly inserted his toes into her vagina.
The attorneys assert that the plaintiff felt increasingly unwell and experienced extreme discomfort due to the assault. They describe an incident where T.I. approached her after she went to the bathroom to vomit, asking if she was alright and commenting, “Looks like you’re in last place.” The altercation concluded with a security guard escorting the accuser out of the hotel room the following morning, while she was in significant pain.
This lawsuit is one of several recent cases involving allegations of sexual assault and abuse within the music industry. For instance, Latin singer Gloria Trevi accused her former producer and manager of physical and sexual abuse, and Sean “Diddy” Combs faced similar accusations from his former artist Cassie. The industry has seen a surge in such lawsuits as survivors come forward to share their experiences.
