The Bachelorette’s Bryan Abasolo Files for Divorce From Rachel Lindsay After 4 Years of Marriage

Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo Split

Rachel Lindsay, known for her appearance on The Bachelorette, and her husband Bryan Abasolo have decided to end their marriage. According to court records viewed by Life & Style, Bryan, a chiropractor, filed for divorce from Rachel on January 2 in Los Angeles.

Shortly after the divorce filing, Bryan took to social media to address the split. He wrote on Instagram, “After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew. My parents have been married forever, and I’m a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go. I wanted you to hear it from the source before the blogs start making up their own reality. Please respect the spaces of our family and friends as we figure out our next steps. Respectfully, Bryan.”

Bryan cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and stated that their date of separation was December 31, 2023. He is requesting spousal support and claims their home in North Hollywood, California, as community property. The couple does not have any children together.

Rachel, on the other hand, has not publicly responded to the divorce filing. However, she dropped hints on her Instagram Story posts on New Year’s Day that something was happening. In one post, she mentioned “sweating out everything from 2023” alongside a mirror selfie from a workout. Another slide featured a repost of “Lessons from 2023,” including messages such as “If they can’t show up for themselves, they won’t show up for you. Move on” and “It’s OK to outgrow people, places, and things.” Rachel expressed her agreement with the lessons by adding “All of this” with a red heart emoji.

Rachel and Bryan found love on season 13 of The Bachelorette and got engaged. They tied the knot in August 2019 in a romantic ceremony in Mexico. However, their journey to love wasn’t without its share of drama, particularly concerning Rachel’s final rose decision. She had developed strong feelings for finalist Peter Kraus, but he wasn’t ready to propose, while Bryan was. Eventually, Rachel chose Bryan, and he proposed to her at the final rose ceremony.

Throughout their relationship and marriage, Rachel and Bryan maintained a private stance. They rarely shared details about their personal lives, with Rachel explaining on a podcast appearance in December that they preferred to keep their relationship off public display. She emphasized that they wanted to preserve their privacy and only share moments when they felt comfortable doing so.

As they navigate this new chapter in their lives, Rachel and Bryan have chosen to take their time and handle matters privately.
